DINPACD Pantograph/overhead power line dynamic interaction:
The INDICA tool enables evaluating the dynamic interaction between the overhead contact line and the pantograph, by assessing the lifting force of the pantograph and the points of loss of contact (take-offs) with the catenary.
The University of Castilla-La Mancha and ADIF have developed this specific software for the analysis, study and modeling of the interaction of the pantograph and the elasticity of the catenary, in its dynamic aspects. This approach differs from the CALPE suspension calculation application, which it complements.
