According to Spanish Law 27/2006, which regulates the right to access information on environmental matters, and based on the Entrusted Management Agreement, Adif-High Speed is the official mediator before all environmental organizations (community-based, local, regional and state organizations). Adif-High Speed also holds this position in relation to individuals and official bodies that submit requests for environmental information and/or actions.
In this respect, as the unit responsible for environmental information, Adif-High Speed provides information, advice and counsel regarding any requested environmental information and guarantees that all requests are processed and answered quickly.
All information on the environmental aspects and performance of the activities and services provided by Adif is published annually in theEnvironmental report.
This ensures that the requirement to report on environmental matters is fulfilled.The Environmental report follows the guidelines of theGlobal Reporting Initiative (GRI).
In addition, Adif and Adif-High Speed actively participate in several inter-company work groups and have external representation before public authorities as well as national and international official bodies on environmental matters.
