Conventionaland metric gauge lines

EUR 605 million of aid received from the Cohesion Fund, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and TEN-T funding, mostly in the 2000-2006 and 2007-2013 periods.

EUR 514.3 million of aid expected for the 2014-2020 period. The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), via the Multiregional O.P. for Spain 2014-2020, is contributing EUR 396.7 million, of which EUR 387.86 million is aid for Thematic Objective 7: Sustainable transport, EUR 3.18 million for Thematic Objective 4: Low-carbon economy, and EUR 5.67 million for Thematic Objective 13: Technical assistance. The EU Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is contributing EUR 117.6 million.

Adif has also been granted ERDF aid for the current period amounting to EUR 8.2 million managed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) and the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE).(See funding information in R+D+i)
