Actions
Priority P2.B Urban mobility:
- SO.2.8. The promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility, as part of the transition to a net zero carbon economy.
Under this Specific Objective, Adif has defined the following actions:

Actions on the commuter rail infrastructure network: new connections or branches (duplication and quadruplication of sections), infrastructure reconstruction or modernization actions, signaling actions and communications actions through interoperable systems such as GSM-R.
- Actions in the stations of the commuter rail network: construction of new commuter stations or expansion of existing ones and actions to improve station accessibility.
The type of action relating to the infrastructure of commuter rail tracks (work on the tracks, platform, signaling and communications facilities, electrification, etc.), as well as those relating to station upgrades have been assessed as being compatible with the DNSH principle in accordance with the technical guidelines for applying the DNSH principle (developed within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Facility).
Priority P 3.A Mobility:

OE.3.1. The development of a TEN-T resistant to climate change, that is smart, safe, sustainable and intermodal
Under this Specific Objective, Adif has defined the following actions:
- Actions involving the modernization of existing lines in the TEN-T rail corridors (Mediterranean Corridor and Atlantic Corridor) in less developed regions.
The type of action relating to the development of rail infrastructure of TEN-T core network corridors have been assessed as being compatible with the DNSH principle in accordance with the technical guidelines for applying the DNSH principle (developed within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Facility).
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) may co-finance the costs of actions under these Specific Objectives set out in Regulation (EU) 2021/1058 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 June, 2021, which are carried out within the eligibility period between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2029, in accordance with the n+2 rule.
